Danube Soja Association’s General Assembly in Vienna

Euralis Seeds took part in the Danube Soja Association’s General Assembly in Vienna, on April 19th. Euralis has been an active member since its creation in 2013 with a representative on the Board of Directors.
This association, which now represents 270 members from 25 countries, has strongly contributed to the development of soybean in Europe. Danube Soja has developed two local non-GMO sustainable soybean traceability systems of production in Europe: Donau Soya and Europe Soja. Danube Soja Association has now five subsidiaries in Europe: Austria, Romania, Serbia, Moldova and Ukraine. An office in Germany will be opened soon.
This is also Germany that will be the country hosting the 5th International Danube Soybean Congress on june from 19 to 20th at Schwäbisch Hall, near Stuttgart.
As mentioned by the present German Secretary of Agriculture of Baden-Württemberg, the year 2018 will be strategic for soybean since European Union will define the European Protein Plan for its Protein independence for the next 10 years. Discussions will start at Schwäbisch Hall with the presence of European Commissioner Phil Hogan & several Ministers of Agriculture.
In this key moment for soybean, all European Soybean industry is unifying forces to push the development of Soybean in Europe.
